The
ministry grew out of a need to obey Luke 14:24,
"And the Master said to the servant go to the highway and
along the hedges and compel them to come in that my house
may be filled."
Our family
along with some friends would go to area parks with a kareoke
machine. We would have the children sing until a crowd would
come. After that, we would share testimonies and then the
gospel of Jesus. Many would repent of their sins and receive
Jesus as Lord and Savior. At that time, there was no plan
in place for follow up or discipleship. The Lord began to
give us clear vision and direction on how to set up an effective
outreach. We purchased a mobile stage; better known as 'The
Church On Wheels'. We began to partner with Pastors and churches.
Before an outreach, we will meet with the Pastor and congregation
of the sponsoring church for evangelism training and an orientation.
The church will canvass their neighborhood with flyers announcing
the event to the surrounding community. After the outreach,
the church will be responsible for follow-up and discipleship
of those who come to the Lord as a result of the outreach.
We began
the promotional outreaches in order to 'compel' more people
to come out and be part of the outreaches, to meet some real
needs in the community and to show the love of Jesus through
the giving of the Saints.
The promotional outreaches each have a theme, such as:
The
Easter Outreach
This outreach would consist of giving food baskets with a
ham along with Easter baskets for the children.
The Back to School Outreach
Backpacks are given away, filled with school supplies.
The Thanksgiving Outreach
Food baskets are given away complete with a turkey
The Christmas Outreach
Hats, scarves, gloves, mittens and toys are given.
Refreshments, such as hot dogs, popcorn and lemonade are served
at all of the spring and summer outreaches. Hot drinks, such
as hot chocolate and apple cider are served along with cookies
at the winter outreaches.
JohnRoss Ministries has roughly 30 trained volunteer (staff)
missionaries but more are still needed to effectively set
up for each outreach, work as altar workers, prayer counselors,
servers to the community and workers to break down equipment
after each outreach is completed.

The new Church On Wheels if we can count on our supporters
to assist us in acquiring $90,000 for purchase and delivery.
