Deborah
and I would like to introduce and explain JohnRoss Ministries.
We are an evangelistic, musical family ministry. Deborah and
I are licensed ministers and are Assistant Pastors at RiverPark
Community Church in Waukesha, WI. The Lord has blessed us
with five children where two are of adult age. Deborah is
founder and executive director of Woman to Woman Ministry.
She is also a conference, retreat, and seminar speaker. The
children play three to four instruments a piece. Our daughters
are known throughout the city as the "Sisters
of PraiZe".
The Lord
has called our family to be missionaries to the cities in
America and this is how we fulfill that calling. Our family
is a praise and worship team. Deborah and I conduct parenting
seminars, and facilitate evangelism training. We go to prisons,
shelters and the streets.
In cities
across America, many people don't attend church, so the "Church
on Wheels" is committed to going to them.
This involves a team of volunteers going out and canvassing
the community with attractive flyers, announcing a free concert
and free food. At each outreach, the community is fed, bibles
are given away and the Gospel of Jesus Christ is preached,
along with various testimonies and anointed music. Those who
receive Christ are then "plugged" into a church
right in their own community for discipleship.
Throughout
the year, promotional outreaches are used to draw a larger
crowd and meet some very real needs. For example:
- Easter
- Easter baskets and food baskets containing a ham
- Back
to School - Backpacks full of school supplies
- Thanksgiving
- Food baskets complete with turkey
- Christmas
- Toys, hats, gloves, scarves, and mittens
The ministry
need people
to go to the streets with us to help setup and breakdown equipment,
serve food and serve as prayer counselors. Currently there
is a team of 30 volunteers, but 100 committed team members
are needed.
Presently,we
have accepted positions at RiverPark Community Church in Waukesha,
WI. Since making this move, we have lost some supporters.
We will continue to reach out to our hard hit communities
across America as before, so, please consider becoming a monthly
supporter.
Deborah
and I have been asked to take the "Church on Wheels"
to other cities out of the state of Wisconsin. We recently
purchased a motorhome to help with our ministering outside
of the Milwaukee area, yet, we continue to need your financial
gifts. The ministry hopes to pay off the loan on the motorhome
in, at least five years. Please keep this in your prayers.
We would like to continue saying yes to those churches and
pastors, outside the Milwaukee area, who desire to partner
with us with an outreach in their towns and cities.
We will
be able to reach more individuals and families if we can acquire
a new "Church on Wheels" unit. The cost is $90,000
but we believe it can be accomplished if you give. The unit
is pictured below. Join us as we trust God for this miracle!
